One fine day...

Someone told me on fb that I looked extremely fat in one of the drama picture. (I hope not many have seen it, and don't bother looking for it cos' it's removed)

So I asked my mum, "did I become fat after eating too much chicken?"

(Digressing... I had a sudden craving of whole chickens this month, and I'm eating it almost every dinner. And er...you can guess the amount of oil in there. I have a feeling that I'm going through puberty again, and I so so wouldn't mind that cos' i get to grow taller. hehe)

So my mum replied, "No, that's cos of your high cheekbones."
I replied, "I thought it looked good on models in western countries."
Mum, " NO! It looks evil and fierce."

what the f. I obviously did my research and found out that it is so not a good thing in Asia(Esp Chinese). And sadly, in vietnam it's considered taboo and very bossy... The most ridiculous thing is that men who marry women with high cheekbones will die early. High cheekbones make ppl look much older too, i heard.

Conversely, in western countries high cheekbone are to die for. Many actresses and models (eg. Angelina Jolie) have high cheekbones. so cool right! It makes the face looks more defined and it's rare? Or is it not?

Personally, I still like my cheekbones despite the fact that it doesn't look too good on me(as pictured above). Makes my face look puffy. WHATEVER! I'm kind of influenced by the western also and I think angmoh people with high cheekbones are well, hot! HAHA.
